Tons of views but not a word :l . Do US LS' with actual friendly players or people that speak in LS chat actually exist? Should add that I played XI and have also played other Mmos competitively, such as top 200 guild consistently in WoW. Would love to find an LS where people actually talk to each other, are active, and can answer questions. Plan to be around for the long run.

I'd suggest taking a look at the linkshells of Ridill thread. Decide which you like the look of, maybe speak to one or two members ingame and then follow whatever application process they have. Some prefer you to apply on a website, others will just shell you there and then.
