[Request] - Hamlet Defense.

There's a problem with Hamlet Defense that I see looming. There isn't enough incentive to take part in the actual fights (which are quite fun btw). The drop rates are randomized and the drop rates seem to be quite low.

In order to get higher supply ratings and get extra chances/points the server as a whole needs to work their butts off to do it, and also spend a decent amount of Gil in some cases. Outside of turning in items for Anima, I don't see players taking part in the supply rating or even the battles because it becomes just another grind with a luck factor. Dark Matter, and Prisms? Really?

My suggestion is that rather than randomized drops to the party. Square should implement a currency that can be scaled based on the score you receive inside of the Hamlet fights. These in turn can be exchanged for items such as the Hamlet Digger Helms. Also perhaps even add in Grand Company Seals or even Gil as another sub reward to give more of an incentives (and for the love of Odin, scale down the damn Anima rewards >.>).

They really did a good job with this content, and I don't want too see it be forgotten about a week after its inception.

we saw level 1, and some of level 2(which wasnt fully completed)

the higher you go the more there will be to it, if people are willing to work to get the rating up

The Militia gear rewards are actually REALLY nice. I just wish we knew more about the conditions for getting them (supply rating, points, top 20, etc...)

i don't mind the drop rates, and i'm actually looking forward to lvl 2 attacjks, aswell as other cities hamlets, but,
i think that people will lose interest in hamlet soon they get what they want.
to me it's only interesting aslong i need the armet and enmity gorget, after i got those i wouldn't bother doing it anymore, well why should i.

i wish hamlet defense would give other rewards like Gil, Seals and perhaps items that could be traded in for provisioning points.
something to keep the ball rolling, and not be turned into another instance that you only participate in aslong as u got the stuff you needed and after never do again.
or turn the whole reward after the battle into a point system.
fight...win...get points...buy whatever you feel like, and not only keep it to equipment.

they gotta widen out a lil on the rewards to keep it interesting!

I would have to agree that you should be able to buy the equipment with the points you accumulate.

But then you have to wonder isn't this too similar to grand company, last thing we need is hundreds of currencies and specialist shops dotted about.

i played the hamlet yesterday and its fun and it doesnt take much time, i dont know how it works but if the gear is by a point system, i think they can make it last a lot more, and yes i hope that by 2.0 those hamlet defense will be bigger and with lots of ppls, not just a party, i would love to see them implement an autoparty formation, so you just need to get there and enter to the looking for party list, that way everyone can play.
