    10 Crafting Abilities & Choice

    Let's be real. Nobody's going to equip 10 abilities and deal with a random 5 being selected at level 50. Everyone is just putting together a set of 5 abilities that they know they'll always have. However, people do have reasons to swap out some abilities for others based on the recipe.

    So how about this:

    Instead of pretending we have more than 5 slots how about we actually get to equip abilities to all 10 slots, and be given a quick interface with which we can select which of them we want to use before each recipe with the previous selected options remaining as default.

    I dont wanna have to select which abilties I want to use everytime I craft something, I can do it manually right now.

    Theres no need for this when you can just change your abilties before you start a syth

    With proper design it can be snappy. If you don't want to change anything from your previous synthesis and your previous selections stay as default it can be as quick as pressing enter one extra time. Otherwise, if you want to swap a few things around it saves you from having to get back up and deal with the more extensive menu.

    What there's no need for is the extra 5 slots right now.

    Nah this is too time consuming, how about just making a macro to switch between different skills ..

    I must not be explaining it very well if you guys think getting back up, switching skills and then entering synth mode again is less time consuming.

    No. Because if you're going to be repeating the synthesis every time, you're adding 5 more clicks (10 if it's not drag and drop) just so you can keep the same abilities. Whereas now, you can just do it before you start synthesizing and not have to worry about it until you change recipe.

    I believe I made a point to say in both my OP and my first response that the previously selected 5 skills should remain selected by default. You only click stuff around If you want to change something and otherwise you simply confirm.

    Is it too much to expect people to read and understand every sentence?

    I dont agree with this, i also find it dumb they let you put on 10 when there is no point. I do 5, always will since its 100% Garaunteed.

    What they could do is just give a Random % that the other 5 will show up during your synth progress. Like 6th skill has a 50% chance, 7th a 40%, 8th a 30% and so on.

    I dont want to have to select my skills all the time, no thanks, i'd rather stick with 5.

    It's a good idea, but I would prefer to have all 10 abilities available to me during the synth, then when I use 5 of them, I won't be able to use any more.

    LOL that would be so unbalanced.

    If that's the case Noctis I'm sure they could allow us to switch skills via a macro during synthesis stance.

    Hell even if I could type /eaction 1 "Bold Endevour" whilst kneeling down it would work.
