I understand about license etc. but if garo won't come back anymore that doesn't mean items can't right ?

The licence was to use the items.

There was never anything to the "event" but the items. I honestly don't know why people even call it an event.

You just did normal game stuff, earned normal game currencies (wolf marks/MGP) and bought items that you'd never even know were part of a crossover collaboration if you weren't aware of the source material.
