Level synch was designed specifically for higher level players to do content with lower level players to make sure the lower level ones were able to get groups for content. "Synching Up" is completely opposite of what was intended.

there is a setting in your duty finder where if you are lead, you can get given dungeons within 10 levels of you.
wont completely fix your issue, but there is no workable way to do what is peeving you and is a baked in game mechanic so even the lower level players have people to play with.
besides, while a bit restrictive, I found it made me a better player by actually trying to do the same, be it healing, tanking or dps... with far less. but thats just me, I like being reminded occasionally I am not invincible.
You can only use the limited leveling roulette in a full pre-made party. It's also 6 levels below the lowest person's level in said party. Their main gruff is the whole out leveling the msq due to the huge xp the MSQ gives you. So they're doing dungeons that are half their level which then creates the not being able to use the abilities they've unlocked up to this point. Which normally is only a problem when using the leveling roulette. The OP seems to not be using that at the moment.there is a setting in your duty finder where if you are lead, you can get given dungeons within 10 levels of you.

At lot of games do level syncs individually. It's not impossible. And some players having more abilities is also a non-issue since dungeons aren't allowed to be difficult in the first place, sadly. Right now they are too easy AND boring. Worst of both worlds. lolLevel syncing the enemies up would be a problem, because when you do a duty roulette, you get matched with people whose first time it is and who are still at that lower level. They would be fighting enemies a lot higher level than them (scaled to your level), so you would have a level 24 fight level 80 enemies when you are level 80. That doesn't show much consideration for them.
Think of it as that when you sync down, you are doing the rotation for that expansion or level range. It's really good later on because when you are level 80 you don't have to feel like you are missing out on what it was like in a previous expansion, because your rotation changes to mostly what it was in that expansion.
level sync removing all your skills is the WORST part of XIV lmao, why tf would i want to be reminded of the garbage early game when i only had two buttons to press? its easily the worst part of the game, by light years.Level sync is one of FF14's greatest charms. It keep the game from stagnating and reminds players of the challenges they once faced and new players or old players with new classes have to go through.
Plus it's a great way to learn more about your early abilities.
Furthermore, if all dungeons matched your level it would become tremendously tiring to constantly fight enemies of the hardest difficulty. Note also that this is basically what WoW did in poor imitation of FF: max lv players providing significantly less dps than a low lv player with better synced stats.
Syncing down may make you feel weaker and more awkward, but that's an illusion. If you're synced down your ilv is always max for that particular dungeon so you are actually very strong.
most of the jobs are completely and utterly broken below 70. it makes a lot of the older content irrelevant because it feels awful to play. Like, imagine playing Coil min ilvl on BLM...its like eating ground glass, because the job feels awful. and thats just one example of jobs that's horribly broken at 50.
with how they butcher every job upon dropping a new expansion, it just gets worse and worse too.
syncing mobs up may not be the solution but there needs to be a solution. either give us the full kit at 50 (or close to it, have 60-max be traits) or idk give the newbies echo or something.
I am literally complaining i got BUTTONS REMOVED TO PRESS and there is not much challenge to be done in dungeons.
People were rushing it without tank 3 maning it so no idea what challenges you even talk abbout.
You mean actually appropriately challenging and i would use buttons i get whlie levelling ?
For real people of game which has against tos using such things cares more about damage numbers while levelling than people playing game which supports them.
What ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
I DONT NOT CARE WHAT DAMAGE my buttons even do i hid that flying text since it is useless clutter i am talking about gameplay feel when you go do dungeons and you lose cool buttons and fun .
And not sure what you are smoking but that is not illusion.
Are you on one of the "preferred" servers where your exp is boosted? I made an alt character on my server which doesn't have the boost and didn't use any of the exp boost gear and I didn't out-level the MSQ much at all. I had some friends level up on my server and there were a few times the MSQ got ahead of them and needed to grind some dungeons or PotD for 1 level.
I tried an alt and I was almost 50 before hitting the end of ARR. After doing a few of the starting area quests I stopped at level 6 or 8. I was so far ahead I knew I would not need any other quest. So before 10 I had only done job quest and MSQ. I also skipped any fates. But I did not take off any xp increasing gear pre 30 and I did not take off aetheryte earring. No preferred world bonus.
I'm surprised that this isn't brought up, but what if you are put into a party without AoE buttons yet for their job whether a healer or DPS? That tank pulls, no one doing AOE as they don't have it yet and the tank gets upset that pulls are taking too long due to no aoe. Then the tank quits as they don't have aoe or if it is just one person without AoE they kick that person who needs the dungeon for MSQ. Is that what is wanted? I mean for the very first guildhest I think only archanist may have AoE for it other than the tank.
Another thing, any WHM below 66 doesn't have a shield for the tank. Do you kick that WHM?
What ???
As long we go on reasonable pace and progress i dont see anyone stupidly min maxing for some magical reason in levelling dungeons like what ?
And personally i have 0 intention doing something what removes my buttons.
