DX11 Crash on both PC and Labtop

    Hello Community,
Since returning to the game I have been playing with no problems from the end of Heavensward to just finishing Stormblood, however as of last night taking on the Lvl. 70 Quest "A Sultana's Strings" , I'm met with the DX11 crash window. I did my search on the forums and I've read many threads regarding this issue, taking most of the measures and putting them in place. Everything except uninstalling Windows, which I can tell you simply won't FIX it. My systems both PC and Labtop are running with the bear minimum as I've built both of them as gaming systems. With all drivers up to date and, and my systems cleaned this same quest "A Sultana's Strings" on both my PC and Labtop crashes the game with the DX11 error. As it stands I can't progress further, because I tried running the game in DX9 and it crashes with XAudio error. The only hardware plugged into my Labtop is my SSD drive, my mouse and controller.

Considering I have taken the measures recommended by staff to "fix" the problem and that I'm crashing in the same spot this must be a game related issue as I have had no problems in the past from beginning of ARR through the end of Stormblood. I can provide my Labtop specs if requested. As it stands I'm waiting to see if a fix is implemented.

    Thanks,
    Christian

Good morning! Thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums. We apologize for the delay in response to this issue.

The error you are describing may occur when DirectX crashes. We suggest to perform a clean boot by opening the task manager and selecting the 'Start up' Tab. Then, Disable everything. Additionally, can you submit a Final Fantasy XIV system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display'.

Lastly, are you able to access other characters?

Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.
