If anything we need MORE races cuz it looks like 5 varieties of Human, Kimahri, and potatoes.

so you especting square create something with more than 2 eyes, 2 arms and 2 legs....well they could bring a beholder to us play with, but that part of D&D franchise.

Ok, calm down Mr. Hyperbole.
A race can exist without needing you to form a parasocial relationship with it, you know.
And those animations....
You can play up the most stoic and serious Lala WoL on Eorzea, but the moment a Duty ends you prance like a schoolgirl that got invited to prom by her crush.

Ivalician moogles are just another rabbit race (on top of Viera and the new moonbuns). I find the idea quite unimaginative.
I'd be down for a feathered race. Those could be pretty small. Or maybe a fish/marine race (even though the Au Ra kind of cover that already). Or even plant-people.
If we got any sort of new race at all, I would prefer the devs design something new. I don't think there are any more good ideas for races to come out of prior FF games, just more variations on cats, rodents/lagopmorphs, and lizards.
I'd rather them work on customization options over a new race IMO. At least for now. Same with animations. If Elezen could have slightly shorter arms, a neck slider, and new running animations, I'd be pretty happy. Same with Highlander could use more faces, eyebrow options for them etc. Just options in general for all races. Would be pretty nice to have the option to use different horns for different faces on au ra, hide tails if you choose to, could simply be a toggle for when the tails clip REALLY bad with certain outfits, especially capes. No reason not to be allowed options, personally.

Yes we do need another smol playable race.

I wouldn't mind another small race if it was an animal-like race like the Hrothgar. I want to see how creative Square-Enix can be with a new race.
We already have cats, rabbits, and lizards, so I'd like to see what other kind of animal they'd use. It could be something like tiny hamster people with big, puffy cheeks, or it could be a race of tiny corgi people.
Anything is possible.
Ran across an english vtuber due to youtube recommendations named Gura... So how about small shark ppl that can apparently drown in water if they forget their floaties? Now if I could just figure out why youtube keeps putting minecraft videos in my recommendations when I don't really play that game or watch videos about it. XDI wouldn't mind another small race if it was an animal-like race like the Hrothgar. I want to see how creative Square-Enix can be with a new race.

Believe it or not, not everyone wants to be a potbellied munchkin that waddles like Cotton Hill, yet Lalafell are the only available option for players that want to play a genuinely smol race.
Meanwhile, players that want to be big and burly have Roegadyn, Hrothgar, Male Au Ra, and Highlanders. Tall and classy has Elezen and Viera which can also fit into the average height range. Then there's midlanders and miqo'te sitting at a relatively average height with female miqos dipping down to 4'11" at their shortest and fem Au Ra being even shorter at 4'10".
Plenty of options for everyone except for the people that want to play something something Lalafell-sized or somewhat taller but don't exactly jive with the Lalafell aesthetics of being cutesy, conniving little backstabbers that'll scam you out of all your money. There's also a pretty sizeable gap between fem Au Ra's minimum height and Lalafell's max height of 3'2”. Calling another small race bloat when all of the other height ranges have 2 or 3 options is honestly laughable.
