The thing that completely killed all interest I had wasn't just the RNG, but the way you had to slog through multiple breedings and ranking-ups to maybe, theoretically, hopefully land on your real chocobo that you can actually complete all race content with. Unless SE makes cover cards tradeable so I can buy some top-shelf breeding stock and cut to the chase, I'm not going to bother with the birds again.
