Yeah, pretty much. Can't add more space but you sure can buy it and suddenly server limitations aren't an issue anymore. /shrugI cannot belive these people defending SE on this one.
There are already games out there that do item managment way better than SE does: GW2 and ESO as the better examples of proper itemization.
The reality is: The devs didn't create a proper inventory system and then when people started facing issues they monetized on it through bank space (retainers).
YET ANOTHER example of SE profiting from clear design issues they have no intention to fix excused on poor server structure-capabilities-networking-coding-PS6 limitations. Whatever, covid even, as of late all fanboys love to use that one - Even if most problems prominent in this game date from... 2013. Inventory space has ALWAYS been an issue.
Gamers are a special kind of... um.. naive? And that's putting it mildly.

A dollar a month for up to 8 full retainers is not a big cost. Because not everyone gets extra retainers, it’s not a big deal server-wise and those dollars go a fair ways towards costs. Suddenly giving the entire population is an entirely different thing.
People who complain about space need to seriously investigate their options because there are lots of options.
(As in, you can get 8 characters for the same price most people are paying for 1, each with 1-2 retainers. That is a huge amount of space available to you, right here, right now)
