Let's face it, the PvP in this game isn't good, but the mounts look pretty decent.
We should be able to buy the PvP mounts in the item shop.

White Ravens stopped being sacred, why should PvP stuff be any different? Though I'd prefer Gold Saucer to Mogstation...
mmmm how bout no.

You can't get everything just by throwing money at it. If you want the rewards, earn 'em.

The thing there is that some of these mounts have become practically impossible to obtain since people aren't playing certain PvP modes that the mounts are attached to, so not only will you have to win enough matches of modes, but you may be in queue for a very long time just trying to get into those modes in the first place.
I do think that a compromise for those out of date PvP modes would be not to add them for real money or for MGP, but to make it so you have to buy them with wolf marks. Then you're still doing PvP, but you can get those older mounts. Besides, it's not like they don't have a precident for making those old, hard to get mounts now easier. Look at the Yokai mount for an example.

How are you supposed to earn something when almost nobody queues for this stuff? Frontline mounts are a complete crapshoot, most people just suicide charge the other side with no coordination so it ends as quickly as possible, and you can go for over an hour queued for the feast and not get a match.
That shows you a more fundamental problem, PvP just isn't fun. The only reason most people play this snoozefest, with barely any depth to it, in the first place is because SE puts glamour behind Wolf Marks. How are you supposed to earn something when almost nobody queues for this stuff? For once I have to agree with MPK. The current design of XIV's pvp is supposed to be fast paced with a very limited set of abilities. Quite frankly this doesn't work, you just can't make clutch plays when everything is so utterly dependent on server ticks. I'm pretty sure anyone that healed in pvp has already experienced the great feeling of throwing instant heals on a target and it still dying because the servers took too long to register the healing.
Or trying to interrupt/stun a heal and it going through anyway because the servers took too long to register the interrupt.

Honestly I think they should scrap the whole thing and either do a complete rethink on it and re release, or allocate those resources to other parts of the game. I'm biased as I have no real interest in PvP in general (That could change with a decent system) but I groan every time patch notes come out and I see how much time and effort is wasted (imo) on PvP when there's major glaring issues in the core game
Don't touch me there
I honestly wouldn't mind it either. I do it begrudgingly but quite frankly the pvp since the rework in Stormblood is shallow as a puddle. Due to your kit being so limited you have very little options in how you approach a fight and most of the time it boils down to "mark target and zerg it".Honestly I think they should scrap the whole thing and either do a complete rethink on it and re release, or allocate those resources to other parts of the game.
