Having one disabled person in your advertisement doesn't make them the main focus. Nor are the disabled toddlers or pets or such who should discourage you from using a game or facility because you know you might encounter a few.

Accessibility is common in many decent games and mentioning it briefly during advertisement sounds smart.

I think accessibility options should be included and possibly a selling point in games, but idk about putting it in mainstream ads. Truth is, neither of us have enough details about what kind of advertisement OP was talking about so I don't have a place to say whether or not her supervisors' suggestions were appropriate.

But at the end of the day, I think inclusivity for the sake of moral expression isn't always a good thing when you're trying to market your games, especially when you're trying to keep it focused and simple.

Then again, feel free to tell me your credentials in advertising if you have them and I'll concede my point.

Play an offline game then. It's one thing to make access to a building accessible. It's another thing to make a game, which inherently provides certain challenges for able-bodied people to be doable on people with disabilities. They've made strides in reducing button bloat (20-25 buttons per job), locking other players behind walls until cutscenes are over, and making color blindness options. But there's only so much that can be done.
