Hunt confusion

I am not exactly a new player but I am mucking with Hunts for the first time on one of my toons and have run into a problem that has me boggled.

I am a 2nd serpent lieutenant. I have done let the hunt begin. I have even unlock the 2nd level of heavensward clan hunts. FOr some reason the serpent hunt board for ARR doesn't have anything for me.

Now the FC I am in is Maelstrom and the Maelstrom board in limsa has hunts but when I try to take them it wont let me because I am a serpent.

How do I take ARR level hunts?

Does this mean that if your FC is a different GC than you are you cant take hunts in ARR?

According to your Lodestone page you're a First Lieutenant in the Maelstrom so you should be able to access the Hunt Board at Maelstrom HQ in Limsa Lominsa with no problems.

I assume as you said you're now a 2nd Serpent Lieutenant though the Lodestone page is probably outdated, but have you tried speaking to the Allied Quartermaster at Twin Adder HQ nearby? (The soldier in the garish yellow robe near the entrance who is a vendor for the Hunt). I've never changed GC alliegance so I have no idea how that affects the Hunt I'm sorry.

The alignment of your FC doesn't matter. You can only accept ARR hunts from your current GC. Be aware that the last two marks on the daily bills are fate bosses that are not always there. You can visit other worlds to see if they are up there if you want to make them faster.

Sorry this is on my Alt V'aren Rhiki same Server (Zalera) I never even looked at which toon I made the post on so my bad on that one. I will log in and try talking to them. This toon didn't change GCs she just never was in the same one as the FC.


EDIT: The OIC Officer of Arms just says my FC is not in their register (of course not the FC is Maelstrom) so I cant change the crest (which isn't what I am trying to do)

Ok the problem is there are no bills for her to take at her GC. The board for the FC aligned GC shows bills but she cannot take them.

Okay according to the Lodestone your alt is indeed in the Twin Adder and is 2nd Lieutenant - the npc that handles the Hunt is not the OIC Officer at Arms, that's for things connected to your FC which the Hunt has nothing to do with. The npc that handles the Hunt is near the entrance to the Adder's Nest, he's wearing a long thick yellow robe with the Gridanian crest on it and is tagged as a 'Hunt Billmaster' or something as I recall. Try speaking to him and see what he says.

Ok I AM a total noob still. I got it sorted thanks to a patient mentor in game. I was trying to click the board by the OIC Officer of Arms. The hunt board is somewhere else. He pointed me (very kindly given my stupidity) to it and it works.

Yep I bothered a mentor in game I happened to see and he sorted me. I was clicking the wrong board. I am such an idiot.

Oh that's great to hear! Don't worry about it, we've all done silly things like that before! (My history of silly things and choices in the game could fill several volumes! hehe).
