Ease the Burden, Iron Squares, and other grievances.

So, I picked up Ease the Burden a few days ago. Am I wrong, or is Ease the Burden one of the most useless crafting skills SE has in the game? I lose 10% progress on my craft to turn the orb white for one turn? Compare that to Hand of the Gods for alchemists(no durability loss on a syntheses), and our ability is a joke.

Maybe one of the other more experienced armorers can correct me, but is there any real use for this skill? I see very, very few applications for this skill. Perhaps I am just not looking at it in the right way.

Consequently, is there any other crafting class that is as reliant on ONE item for leveling efficiently as an armorer? I don't know how many thousands upon thousands of iron squares I have made, to be turned into some crap item to vendor. I understand, it is grinding, and we have to be efficient and just get it over with. I get it, but at least other classes have variation when they grind.

Armorers, let us compile our list of grievances. It may be April, but that doesn't block us from having a Festivus-style Airing of Grievances. Let us call attention to our video game plight.

Actually, blacksmith uses iron nuggets for just about everything. I don't have Ease the Burden, but it sounds like a horrible version of Preserve. As far as less useful skills, try the first 2 goldsmithing ones... If you don't want to use iron squares to rank up, don't. It's just the easiest path to follow.

Ten percent more progress to work with while trying to boost quality? Only thing I can think of, really. . .

i think thats what its ment for.... but i never use it.... there are far more better abbilities that you can get from other classes to take up the points rather then ease of burden

The killer is 7AP. If it was 3 or 4, I could see maybe using it when trying to HQ high rank synths. As it is, it simply isn't worth it.

Also, please please please don't complain about being able to use 1-2 mats to skill efficiently basically all the way to 50. That's one of the big advantages ARM has. Cheap, easy to obtain materials and we always have optimal synths to grind on. It helps balance the massive sub craft requirements. No other craft has it so easy.
