The Rising - Another disappointing event

Frankly, I couldn't care less about the vast majority of events, I usually expect the rewards to not be appealing to me, and am pleasantly surprised when I see a mount or half decent glamour. For a large portion of time they would give out housing items that I couldn't even use, because I didn't have a house (or apartment). I cannot say I was specifically looking forward to this event. I do read the storylines, but I don't care much about them. I actually do most events at the very last minute, because I can't ever get myself to do them during most of the event.

It probably would have, but endwalker doesn't come out for 3 months so the planned minion would be a spoiler so....

This is so incredibly disappointing. We've had at least one minion, sometimes more, every single year.

I think the last rising event we just got earrings and the one before that we just got a minion I think? and I think even further back all we got was fireworks.

No, every Rising back to 2014 has had one or more minions.

Yeah and minions are useless to a large amount of people. A lot of people don't even summon minions.

Minions, minigames, and stuff for your house is The Rising rewards in a nutshell. One or two have deviated from that. The quest really is the focus, but it's still disappointing we can never say every Rising has had a minion after this year.

Adding a single low-poly minimalist chibi model with 2 simple animations was too much for the small indie team that develops this game.

An actual indie team would probably have had 1 guy do that in a week. It feels more like SE's internal bureaucracy constantly puts a wrench into every small or big thing when it comes to FFXIV rather than "the team was too busy".
