The Rising - Another disappointing event

The Rising has never really been an event for glamours.

I think the biggest Rising event they had was probably the Eighteenth Floor... Aside from that particular year, it's mostly just been a single minion from the event.

I'd prefer Ala Mhigo's Lyse outfit (and I'd like him to change Tataru's old outfit one day, the only potato I accept and like besides Papalymo and maybe also the adopted son of the ex-general of Immortals).

She redid all the outfits of Scion to stay with an old pink toga, while she had a nice kimono in Stormblood.

That said, I like it when Yoshi-P comes and flatters my ego by telling me that I'm the savior of two worlds and blah blah blah.

And that without us FFXIV wouldn't be such a great adventure for him, etc. (And the things he doesn't say: that in the end the money goes into their pocket, etc.).
And to have an email from SE to tell me that in 5 days my subscription will be over and that ...
"Eorza needs you adventurer!" (and your money).

Because the day, when I will have stopped to connect for more than 45 days in a row, I will have lost my house... With a summons that often goes to the spam folder because it's not the same mail as usual...

I think a large part of the problem is inefficient use of resources. Seasonal events are unique each year, but they only persist for two weeks - and then they're gone, never to return in that form. Yet they still require text translations and cutscene animations. Imagine if Moonfire Faire, for example, just involved the jumping puzzle and a fun FATE but no quest - in exchange for more unique rewards. I'd be fine with that, personally - especially with how 'samey' a lot of the events have become.

As far as fashion accessories go, I have...a lot of parasols already. I'd have been keener on something different. We're also not lacking in options for potential minions as rewards. Imagine a Wind-Up Arenvald or Wind-Up Riol?

I really like the umbrella design, but I almost never use the umbrellas we already have. And fireworks really should just be emotes at this point, at least then I wouldn't just end up throwing them away. It would have definitely been nice to get a piece of glam given we didn't get one from Moonfire this year.

While I'm still looking forward to The Rising because of it's quest, which is usually the real draw for the event, I will absolutely agree that it's pretty lackluster on the reward side of things.

Oh come on we all LOVE Indigo stars, I mean we must since bozja hands them out more than candy!!!...


Honestly, while the minions we have gotten from past Rising Events I've enjoyed. It's never been the rewards it's always been the quest, especially as I have been playing since before the fall of Dalamud. So it always brings to mind the good times and the bad. Heart warming memories too of friends that no longer play and also happier times in my life.

The quality of the seasonal events and their rewards usually always fall when the dev team are focusing on the next expansion, which is kind of a shame because there's usually a content draught for most players at this time (or rather a draught in content they would want to do).
