    A: I also played a lot of WoW, FF14's battle mechanics are not the way WoW's are.
    B: I read your comments, many times through before my response.

    If you are in a marker area, move out, and are still hit, then it's two issues only:
    1. You are ping/hardware lagging
    2. Your play timing is off

    #1 can be fixed by correcting any hardware lag on your system and LAN and/or tracing the source of the ping lag and hoping those responsible fix it (be it SE, your ISP, or the internet in between)
    #2 can be fixed with more experience dealing with the fight/markers in question.

    nah just a slight 1 second delay despite my ping being low. no rubber banding/ complete freeze with a catch up for me

    they quite literally are. i mean when a cast goes through, the ability goes off. the marker indicates the area in which you will take damage if you dont move out by the time the cast ends. this holds true for wow and ff14. never had this problem with any other game so im 100% certain the problem is not with my hardware, software or internet provider. again, im not some boomer gamer, i know when i actually didnt dodge in time and get rightfully hit as opposed to when i quite clearly dodge something before the cast goes through and still take damage. not trying to make excuses for my bad gameplay, trust me i own my mistakes, which of course happen from time to time. i want to provide some concrete example where the game is lacking on a technical level, not to make me seem like some god who never makes mistakes and if i do it has to be a bug with the game
