Honestly, it's poor marketing on Square-Enix's part NOT to have some kind of bundle. I doubt there's any risk of one cannibalizing the other's market, but I'm sure a lot of players would be pretty happy to pay for both at some kind of discount.

That said, I think they would probably need to get FF11 on modern consoles to make much of a splash. And that might mean having to invest in a higher-resolution UI, at the very least.

Still, having just bought FF11 recently, it's such a wildly different game than FF14, it winds up making me appreciate both more. And if the recent exodus from WoW has shown us anything, one of the big selling-points of FFXIV is that for newcomers, there are YEARS worth of content to work your way through! By making FF11 relevant again, and with a compelling enough savings (or trial period), I could see FF11 getting an influx of players too, whenever people are waiting between FF14's content.
