Whilst playing earlier (October 5), I experienced heavy connection problems, which both resulted in disconnection. Upon attempting to re-connect, I got lobby error, which forced my game down.
I was able to connect to any other data center just fine, but for an moment my connection to Light was completely blocked following both disconnects.

I'm inclined to believe there may be some peering (routing) issues between your ISP and Square Enix' datacentre.
