    Make Fate Parties Relevant again, devs!

    Remember fate parties? Like pre-heavensward fate parties all posted up in party finder? Sometimes we'd have like 4-6 full parties running fates from Aleport, then graduating to Quarrymill, to Costa, to CCH and finally Northern Thanalan. Those times were seriously a blast. <3

    Anyone else from those days(or any new players find that appealing) feel like it would be awesome if the dev team helped us make fate parties a major relevant thing again? I long to open pf and find dozens of people running fates from area to area again. These gems and relic things just aren't doing it. People still do it alone, nobody cares about fate parties because it's been kinda pushed on us by making this method much less efficient as spamming dungeons.

    The dev team seem to be trying to maintain the integrity of the game by forcing us all into dungeons to lower queue times because they can't figure out a balance, it seems like that anyways.

    For me personally, I do love running dungeons time to time but over and over for levelling becomes mundane and it's not the same as hanging out with the same peeps for 4-5 hours in the same parties one day and then seeing them again the next day, just making in-game friendships from all different FC's.

    My first year playing on Lamia I made so many friends. Now I've been on Marlboro since just after Heavensward released and I barely know a third of the same amount of people, I feel like the loss of fate party relevance is a major factor. I stuck it out here thinking it would get better. It hasn't. I'm in a big FC but still. It's not the same.

    Tell me I'm not alone in this.

    We still fate grind, but for side content.
    It doesn't involve levelling a job though.

    Shb introduced a reward system for its overwold fates
    Relic make us do old area fates and bozja/zadnor have some too

    Yes that's not the same feel as old parties

    I think it's fine.
    I don't dislike it, it just moved elswhere.

    tbh there is little point to do fates. Exp isn't really worth it like it was back in the day.
    in shb people only did a handful to unlock higher movement speed on mounts.

    FATE farming was big when ShB released, and it probably will be again when EW released.
    Those first few weeks/month where people are levelling to 80/90, and still unlocking the FATE reward vendors.

    There is a LOT of FATE partying going on in ARR areas these days thanks to the amount of sprouts.

    Not so many ShB FATE parties because most people are done with the limited purpose of those FATEs and even with their scalable nature they still drag too long if you only have 1 or 2 people in them. They're also the most creatively bankrupt FATEs in the game.

    Didn't they actually nerf the FATE exp rewards back in ARR due to RMT bots?

    I didn't know about that, but that makes sense. I remember reporting a few fate botters back then, especially in NT that were tanks and they would constantly reset fates because they programed their software to make them run away at low health,

    I do miss how fast ARR's FATE trains were.
    One of the reasons I couldn't get into Eureka or Bozja was that they feel so slow to me, between having such big maps, either having to unlock mounts or having to unlock mount speed boosts, areas locked behind story progression, and having a new level to grind.

    That and the fact people weren't queueing for leveling dungeons, making queue times for newbies longer.

    I do think the boss fates should be insane fight. Ixion should be 10 times harder than it is.
