When I close the game, it remains as a black screen

This is an issue that happens rather often, when I close the game, instead of properly closing, it gets "stuck" as a black screen.

I cannot close it, I can't use task manager as I have no way to see it or interact with it, because the black screen is overiding any and all visuals. My only option so far has been restarting my computer.

I can Tab into the game, and it looks like this, but every other window is not visible at all. This does not happen with any other game or app.

I apologize for the delay in responding to your concern. What have you tried so far to alleviate the issue? Additionally can you provide a system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'
