You're not experiencing it as it was intended either to begin with because the numbers are completely overtuned for early content the developers have even acknowledged this themselves, you don't even get to see all of the boss phases because things die too fast and you can ignore 99% of mechanics.

It's not about pushing against new players it's about the fact that I've played the game since ARR and seen these cutscenes repeatedly for years already.
If you join a game this late you're never going to get the same experience it's totally unrealistic and unreasonable to expect that.
You run DF for the daily tomestones which you get because you are giving something up (rerunning old content). Its not rewarding you out of the goodness of the devs hearts. That's the point, its a symbiotic thing. New players get to experience the content and vets get to get rewarded with XP boosts and tomestones. This is the same thing when vets say Ex trials should be removed from Mentor roulette. The reason the Ex trials are in there is to help new players complete those, the mentor roulette is not there simply to give mentors access to a special mount. It is there for a specific reason and rewards mentors with a mount in order to accomplish that.

Likewise, leveling DF is there for a specific reason and rewards you for it. And no it is not unreasonable for new players to expect to be able to play the MSQ as intended and watch the cutscenes while still participating in the fight in whatever manner they can, when the game forces people to group up for it. If it were then MSQs wouldn't have gotten unskippable cutscenes.
