Pulling During Cutscene

This is only a problem because SE has decided to add lengthy cutscenes to content people are wanting to farm. Personally I think during the first few weeks, it is courteous to wait for everyone to finish their cutscenes before pulling. Now that we are months and years into most content, I don't really think one needs to wait.

It is usually a common courtesy to let others finish their cutscenes before pulling anything. That is why it's an issue. When you are in a group setting, the world stops revolving around you.

Yes, and it works both ways. The world does not revolve around the person watching the cutscene. Ultimately, if you really want to watch a cutscene you can view it again at an inn.

I think we should still wait for them, as waiting for the cutscene (regardless what it is) sets the example for the newer player to follow. Look at it this way, do you want to skip through a cutscene, have a newer player learn it's OK, then have them return the favor to you when you wanted to watch the cutscene?

As I said, during the first few weeks of content it is courteous to wait. After that, if I wanted to watch a cutscene I would use the book in the inn rooms to watch the cutscene. I like to be respectful of other people's time, some people are looking to farm content.

Nice to respond to the puller with vitriol? I don’t believe you grasped what the op was saying. It’s not about the pull itself. It’s about the hypocritical response to the puller. The whole attack them, be mean to them, because they ‘werent nice’ by pulling.

It was obviously wrong to "attack" them if that is indeed what happened, but the OP also didn't seem to understand why it was a problem to begin with and seems to be supporting it.

Pulling during a cutscene is bad form. Just give the player the 20 or so seconds required for them to finish watching the cutscene.

It's more of a common courtesy thing to not pull while people are still in cutscenes, last thing anyone wants to happen is to come out of the cutscene, teleport in and immediately get killed by a wave of mechanics.

Now if everyone's just standing around and clearly not in cutscenes, and nobody has pulled yet, I'm charging in. Doesn't matter if I'm a tank, healer, or dps, I don't want to stand around doing nothing for too long.

I’ve seen these white knights go on the attack myself. This community has an awful problem with the so called ‘good guys’ being awful people when trying to wear their capes. Between verbal abuse, threatening to report for the sake of an attempted ban, or even suggesting to intentionally wipe a raid so the cut scene watcher can experience that first raid wide mechanic. Is this good form?
This community claims to be so amazing, but it shows so much hostility. I already see it in this thread from Snork. I’m sure others will come

I can't remember the last time I've even seen anything like this in game. I'm sure it happens, but I don't think it's as big as a problem as some are being led to believe.

The part I find interesting is stuff like this which centers around simply being courteous to others seems to only be an issue on NA servers.

SE removed the option to skip cutscenes in those 2 MSQ 8 man duties because they got tired of seeing people argue over it day in and day out.

In the end we end up losing things simply because people want to act like entitled children rather than mature adults.

People need to realize those other characters in their duty are actually people and not just more NPC's that have to automatically do whatever they want them to.
