My Final Fantasy - A HEELS CONCEPT

Hello everyone,

Some of you may have previously messaged or seen my other forum about the viera heels. I figured that forum was a bust so in order to demonstrate my idea, it's better to show everyone a concept and explain further, please ignore my previous forum post and let's start over.

Before anyone mentions it in the comments, I am not insinuating all heels in general should be Viera exclusive. I am a believer in a more variety of shoes in the game in general should be implemented for every race, but as an individual who loves to stand by the Ivalician viera appearance I think the option to crop down our standard viera heels would be beneficial and expand our choices in clothing to a great extent. So, what do I mean by that you may ask?

Here, we have an example of trousers I'd love to wear. A Dalmscan appearance, stylish and not to mention looks AMAZING on my character... but if I were to pair it with my my current viera heels - it crops and essentially ruins the entire thing (In my personal opinion)



I love the thigh-high heels, but it really limits what we can wear. The solution? A simple copy and paste job of our standard viera heels and crop them down from thigh-high to ankle-height, maybe even impliment a 'crop' button for the standard heels so its *TECHNICALLY* still just the standard item for the viera, but with the option to slightly adjust so we can finally wear trousers while keeping our Viera aesthetic.





While I know this thread may not appeal to those who are not a viera main, especially those other races who are always yearning for more options, I do not think my request is unfair.

Viera's are known for their heels, the developers of SE have even previously stated that considering they were very well aware in FF12 viera's feet tended to digitigrade, it was a very defining fashion sense for the race. You won't witness a lalafel wearing viera shoes - so no, these particular rabbit shoes are not for other races. I do not consider this 'gender/race-locking' as this is a matter of viera obtaining viera shoes.

I'll end this on another note; more heels overall should be implemented in the game as the 2B boots have proven to be amazing and popular, but please try keeping this topic about viera having the option to crop down our standard heels so we are able to wear trousers

That would be a cool concept if they could give such an option to Viera. As of now, I mostly use the 2B boots since it has more or less the same shape as the racial Viera sandals.

However, I don't think the devs would go through with it and I would prefer more hair options to make my Viera more unique that way for both female (and male in EW which my Viera is going to swap to immediately) so that for the most part you wouldn't run into Viera that look exactly the same or way too similar to your own. As it is right now, Viera are limited more so than the other races (exception being Hrothgar, poor guys) and even though in Endwalker we will be able to get some modern aesthetics hairstyles, though this is only seemingly confirmed for the females, not the males.

It would be nice, but I doubt they'll consider it.

Until that happens, have you considered using any of the Bonewicca feet gear, or is that too armored up for your liking? All except the scouting and maiming shoes have heels.

Thank you for your suggestion! I just googled the shoes, I'd imagine they could be an interesting choice if I were to try out a tank.

It still would be the standard viera shoes but with the option to cut them down so we are able to wear trousers. I'm not sure where the whole mentality of "Timothy got a bike, so I want a PS5" comes from.. I'm not saying all heels from here on out should be for the viera, I am merely stating an idea so I can broaden my wardrobe while maintaining a trademark-viera appearance.

While I am aware that FF12 and FF14 are different games, the developers still stated that heels are a very defining feature of the viera, and the viera could only be implemented if they were given normal feet. I dont mind not having digitigrade feet and am grateful for them still being put in the game... But I would still like to keep up the appearance of looking like a Dalmascan. This small change will not affect anyone's game negatively.

Doesn't really go well with all mogs tho.
It's kinda like glowy hands on MNK, the fact that they take up your glove spot too and changes their appearance kinda ruins most mogs .

Yeah, I usually use the Bonewicca footwear on my more armored up glamours to be honest, specifically the fending, aiming and healing glams. The striking and casting footwear are clawed and calf-length, and can pair up pretty well with more feral/wild glams like the Warg and Paglth'an sets, especially since they're dyeable as well.

Yeah like I said it's a fantastic suggestion and would be a good substitute for certain job classes, but I think I would struggle to find clothes to pair it with while the viera sandals do tend to fit most outfits where the legs are on-show.

I dont see why this should be exclusive to only Vierra. I have many trousrees/skirts that get cut off by wearing certain shoes. Like the 2B shoes. The armor chest version completely cuts of any type of pants you wearing. And the only cut off versions are the set pieces you cant wear on crafters/gatherers.

They should focus on the ability to be able to wear boots under or over pants respectively. And not on an exclusive pair of shoes only Vierra can wear.
