Game crashing right after character selection

I have a big problem right now and have no idea what I should do. When I first tried the game some months ago, I would crash and get several directx11.exe errors. I eventually found a fix for this by using an older driver update for my GPU (NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB). Everything has been going smoothly since I started playing again for maybe 3-4 weeks now. That was until now. I kept getting directx11 crashes swimming across the Ruby Sea and just there. I would load in, try swimming forward, then crash. On another login, I teleported to Ul'dah and did not crash here. Went back to the Ruby Sea, crashed around the same area. So I reinstalled and have the most recent driver update for my GPU and now my game doesn't even give an error message after character selection - I just instantly crash after the world is full queue is over. Some things I have tried are:
-No overlays of any sort (Discord and Steam)
-Launching in windowed mode
-Reinstalling
-Using different drivers updates
-Installed DirectX Redist (June 2010) installer package to fix any possible corrupted files

Good morning and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

We apologize for the delay in responding and would like to recommend performing a Clean Boot on the desktop to see if the crashing continues. This will prevent any programs from starting up when the starting when the computer first boots up. This can end up having adverse effects on the game when these programs are running in the background. To perform a clean boot for Windows 10: Open the task manager (CTRL+SHIFT+ESC) and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC.
