Returning Player missing sprout icon?

Hello, I allowed myself to remove all the irrelevant points.
I was redirected here from an In-Game Support request I made.


I'm a returning player from forever ago and I'm wondering why I don't have the sprout icon and if I should have it.
My main scenario quest currently is "All Good Things" which seems to be pretty much at the beginning. My highest job when returning was BLM34 (currently FSH60, BLM40). I read that you normally lose it when you reach the "final patch quest of Stormblood" where I'm nowhere close to.

I just don't want to seem like I'm an experienced player, because I'm definitely not. Most sprouts are far more advanced than me, evident by flying mounts, story progression, level and gear.

PS: The "Search in Forum(s):" selection box in the Advanced Search is very small, making it hard to find/select the right subforum.

if you're a returning player, you should have a flower icon, which will go away after you've played again for some amount of time (i don't know how long). after that i believe you will have your sprout icon

When you return to the game you get a returner icon, which is a flower icon that lasts 72 hours of playtime and appears over the top of the sprout.

Once returner disappears, try /nastatus on. If it doesn't work it might be from joining the game before it existed.

I'm not sure if I've already amassed 72 hours of playtime since returning, but I do not have the returner icon. My account and character are indeed very old. I did watch the world end.

If the game detects you are a Returner, it offers to set your status more permanently and join the Novice Network. That can be declined. You may have seen something onscreen that you got rid of when you first logged back in (there's a number of such items that pop up when you log in after a long time away).
