Why do Seasonal Events get stripped down each year and not added too?

Worst Moon fire event I've ever seen and people are defending it... and are promoting mediocre content - to add salt to the wounds they added new items for the moon fire event to the store aswel as costumes that came with the event in the past. I've seen three of the event - worst I've seen is probs an understatement.

There are four new items added to the store: three are from last year's Moonfire event and the fourth is the Cruise Chaser mount.

The Cruise Chaser is definitely not a Moonfire-themed mount.
