A business whole reason is to make money, this game is not a game design out of the kindness of the heart of the developers. It is design for profit. The fact is, people are going to buy the mount. At least the developers understand that it needs to be balance good content should not come at the price of the cash shop.


So be happy that the cash shop does not lower the quality of the game like other mmorpgs.

The model is in the game. The music is in the game. There is a content lull. People are still paying their sub despite the content lull prior to the expansion launch (because they like the game, want to support the game, and want to play the game).
Why should it be acceptable?

They already try their best to push some minor seasonal events every month to make sure people keep their sub going, I don't think they needed a mount on top of it to make profit.

You keep saying Billion dollar company. You do know how much it cost to run said company, to pay workers, to RD taxes, and all that other stuff? Things need to be more sustainable. At the rate they pump out content. If it was not amazingly profitable. Why would they do it? Mobile is where the big money is at.

I agree, if it wasn't for Square Enix making us use our bought time to grind out or achieve one of the coolest bosses in the game, little Timmy wouldn't have been able to feed his 5 year old daughter. You keep on missing the point though. Yes, the logic from a business point of view is sound. We all know they want to make money. From a consumer point of view, however, it's a slap in the face. But you seem to readily take those. You ain't clever, friend. You are a serf to these companies. Coping by making the claim that you can just buy the mount as these companies are trying to make money off you anyways!

I expected to be Mogstation but it still stings for Cruise Chaser being there.

Mount screams Rival Wings or other ultimate/ savage content to me.
(Although I could have also seen as an Ultimate crafting recipe, no kidding. Make your own CC)

What a shame. While a cash shop in B2P+sub game is BS in the first place, especially CC is a mount that deserve to be earned in game, not bought.

I do not support such behavior and i do not buy any mounts from cash shops. Yoshi-P whines about the lack of developer ressources and why they will not introduce new races etc. But when it comes to design new cash shop mounts the developer ressources are suddenly available. That sounds not very plausible to me.

I had to hold back from being very sarcastic and rude to you. If you ever actually paid attention to previous interviews, etc., you would know that Yoshi-P has no control over the Mogstation at all. It is a separate entity run by someone else within a different department. I forget their name.

Funny how Viera have been waiting for two years for the devs to free up the resources to give us a single new hairstyle for this half completed race, yet they somehow found the resources for this very complex two seater mount with a model swap, awesome animations, and the best soundtrack in the game. I guess you could argue, all of these assets for the mount already existed and just needed to be applied to a character model, but the same could be said about the dozens of hairstyles already in-game, some of which we have spent real money purchasing that we cannot use on Viera to this day.

How many mounts do apologists think we should have to buy before SE gives Yoshi P the proper budget he needs to get these basic features added? This is beyond greedy and gross.
