More like the Archetype of those kinds of resources, presented in a standardized manner that presents the information in a common and digestible form. There's something to be said for style guides and adhering to standards of presentation.
Awesome! I loved Icy Veins when I was a player of WoW.
Icy Veins has been the driver in most of the ingame discrimination between classes, have been the ones to encourage people to abandon jobs or classes that are "bad at dps" or "bad at this or that" and are rabid min maxers.
As soon as new content comes out they come up with a graph that tells people "If you have a player with x class, kick them immediately"
They are the reason the class balances in WOW have been so bad, and Icy Veins has to a great degree contributed to WOWs toxicity.
I really don't think that they're going to affect anything.Icy Veins has been the driver in most of the ingame discrimination between classes, have been the ones to encourage people to abandon jobs or classes that are "bad at dps" or "bad at this or that" and are rabid min maxers.

The game is Japanese, the devs won't care about what they think or say.
And FFXIV is a very old game at this point while Icy Veins has been dedicated to WoW since the start for a very long time.
FFXIV already has its established norms and places to go for the Meta etc, Icy Veins will maybe help beginners a bit but I don't think that a very noticeable portion of the playerbase even knows what that website is and won't read it regardless.
I mean we just had a huge WoW refugee influx, it didn't somehow change how the game is played.
If anything was to change FFXIV that would've been it not a website.
And Asmongold was a driver for WoW's toxicity, Preach Gaming also. And the WoW refugees should make the game guaranteed more toxic than ever ... etc. And the funny thing is, nothing happened.Icy Veins has been the driver in most of the ingame discrimination between classes, have been the ones to encourage people to abandon jobs or classes that are "bad at dps" or "bad at this or that" and are rabid min maxers.

Cheers

People were already excluding "bad" classes like early 5.0 NIN from party finder rather frequently, so class discrimination is going to occur as long as min-maxing resources like the Balance exist in general.
Hopefully Endwalker does not have the same issue with something severely undertuned slipping through the cracks.
