Level Sync option for New Game+ ?

I got my gf into starting the trial and wanted to join at her side with New Game+ though all my jobs are a bit overleveled. the lowest one i have is my warrior at 33. Is there a way to level sync to someone in your party, in open world or in NG+ ?

if not, will it ever be implemented?

Level sync would defeat the purpose of New Game + which is to allow for replay of previously completed quests while retaining one's current progression and job level.

Sadly the only way to do this would be through duties and FATEs.

There is currently no way to level sync with a person in your party outside of dungeons/trials/fates, neither would I say to get your hopes up that it'll be implemented since it's an extremely niche feature.

If its any consolation, it's only the unimportant overworld enemies during the MSQ that your level will actually matter with, which 99% of overworld content amounts to basic canon fodder enemies that do nothing but auto and throw an occasional aoe; any dungeons or trials you run will have your level synced.

??? Nowhere does it say that that is the purpose of this game's version New Game+. And who is to say a optional sync feature would not be nice for it?

You can just wear lower item level gear or play a new different class.

It offers zero rewards. So, why else would you be doing it if you weren't wanting to relive the story of whatever quest line. The OP was also asking if there was a sync for the open world which currently there isn't one. The game would have to recognize that you're using NG+ and then somehow restrict your level like it does in fates. Which I'm sure would require two systems to talk together and the devs seem to code things strangely to where I don't think the existing but seperate systems are able to talk with each other.

meanwhile I'm still waiting on them adding a reward for doing NG+ like all other games do.

Why though? NG+ also covers job/class quests where most of those just give skills except for the class quests pre 50 or the later job initial quests like Sam. Materia is fairly easy to get in the game, same with gil. Most MSQ rewards are one time items that if you some how lost it can most likely get back from the calamity salvager. Xp has a billion and one ways to be gained in the game.
