I would happily take a reduction in glamour plates...

...if it meant each and every class can have five glamour plates of their own so each class can have its own visual style. By this I mean that instead of just having a static fifteen plates, how about we give each class five plates, and then five "global" plates that any class can have access to?

There are so many glamours that I would like to use, but can't because I only have so many glamour plates to be able to have a glamour that suits each class.

I don't understand, where does the "reduction" come into play? It sounds like overall we'll just have access to more plates.

Also, I suspect that, on the backend a glamour plate is a glamour plate regardless of how many classes have access to it.
Kinda like how Yoshi P said we'd never get a tackle box (inventory spaces specific for certain items) because they could just use that space to just give us more inventory spaces.
So, like, if there are 19 classes and they each get 5 plates, we could instead just get 95 new plates we could do whatever we want with.

Yeah, that's not a reduction by any means. The same data has to be stored whether it's your current class or not.

This is like telling your boss I'll be happy to reduce my salary to 1$/h for this years if he gives me a bonus equivalent to 3 years of my current earning.

Counting all combat jobs, crafters, and gatherers, we have 29 jobs, with two more coming in Endwalker. Even leaving out classes (archer, gladiator, etc), five glamour plates per job would mean 145 plates (155 in EW). If 15 is pushing the system already, I don't see ten times that amount happening.
