Female Viera are what Au Ra should've been...

They've got the physique, they've got the stature, their stance is similar to male Au Ra, and an argument could be made for Viera's more subdued emotes contrasting that of their counterparts.

Dragons my ass, the more I think about it I suspect Au Ra were meant to be an incubus/succubus type duo, but that doesn't mean the difference had to be that extreme... Viera look like they could've made fine demon ladies, themselves

I thought viera have more subdued emotes because they can live to be over 300 years old. So beneath that bunny-girl exterior is a hundred-year-old grandma.

I still haven't gotten over my disappointment at how the devs handled them, after all these years.

I did actually make a female Au Ra alt not too long ago, and was reasonably happy with her look (wish I'd gone with face 4 tho tbh)... until I got her in-game and, usual disappointments aside (their height..), saw their animations/emotes. Needless to say, my opinion has not changed...

Certainly could be the case, but not necessarily the only way one might develop those mannerisms, right?

Originally, Viera were considered for the new race back in Heavensward but the devs went with Au Ra (they also had other races too, like Wolfman that became the Lupin)

well i kind of like fem au ra but i still feel the female character options are missing some variety. while we have a lot of that with males (well - some have really weird design choices, especially the taller races), females seem always to go the „safe“ route with their design (except for femroe maybe)
that‘s why i hope we‘ll see something different with femhroths, and not just a tall hairy miqo girl.
i either hope they go full bestial with them or kind of a fierce sexy look, kind of similar to that concept art of fem au ras.

If they had used that design in game I would have race changed to female au ra day one of Heavensward and never looked back.
