Game Crash when moving "Key items"

crashing (first crash in 200hrs) started halfway through stormblood samurai job questline when trying to turn in bloodstained charm. Through many crashes and testing I found that crash happens whenever I attempt to move a "Key Item" in my inventory. Either turning it in as part of a quest or even trying to switch the slot it is in my inventory. trying to move my aether compass also causes me to crash to desktop.

I was able to disable directx 11 in at the launcher and complete the quest and the issue seemed to be resolved. I then enabled DX11 again, tried to move my aether compass in my key items inventory and I crashed again with the same issues. I have since discarded the Aether Compass as I am not currently using it and am running the game just fine. I hope that the next quest requiring a key item to be used or turned in will not cause this issue again.
