I can't speak for anyone else, but I personally hold contempt for the concept that more raid = better MMO because I fled WoW to escape that philosophy. To be quite honest, the constant addition of raid content to the game is detrimental to the game for various reasons:
- Every new raid tier renders all your old gear obsolete. This is great for raiders, but if you're a casual player who has yet to meet their item level goal, the new raid tier inevitably comes with a slew of catchup gear that blows whatever level you were aspiring to out of the water. You're reset to a new baseline and handed a new unattainable goal. It honestly feels like chasing a carrot on a stick while running on a treadmill.
- Casual raiding guilds aren't clearing the raid in the first month, the way the elite guilds are. When there's a "content drought" between drops, casual guilds actually have a motivation to progress into and through harder raid content. The next raid content drop kills all motivation to progress through that content. Players simply abandon their progression and move on to the easier raid content with the better gear drops.
- Developing raid content is extremely time consuming. More, better, and faster raid content development comes at the expense of literally everything else in the game. Blizzard has fallen back on time gating every bit of non-repetitive casual content to try and disguise the fact that they're only creating about 6 hours worth of it for each raid tier. As for the repetitive content, they've drastically increased the amount required to attain even the most basic of rewards to the point that many players have simply given up on doing it.
Given that WoW is currently on the decline while this game continues to gain prominence, I don't think that aspiring to emulate WoW's raid content drop cadence is a wise move. If you want a new raid every 3-6 months, go play WoW. Nothing says you can't play both games.
