If they valued our time it wouldn’t have taken 6-8 years for them to finally address the placard housing issue.

I think this also comes from a difference in player culture.

There is a noticeable portion of the community, especially seeming from certain other games, that view MMOs as a thing to do - a set of tasks to accomplish. When the decided tasks are done, the game loses its value.

However for many, if not most - FFXIV has, for the longest time settled in the culture as a place to be. When tasks are done, other things are explored, perhaps aiding others in their tasks or discovering things that were left undone or unexplored.

For the later, there's quite a bit of content available, because their scope isn't narrowed by specific task, nor do they ramrod through those tasks in the most efficient manner. Being there is enough in many cases.

The former is far more demanding on the Devs, and I think they focus primarily on the later mentality due to not being able to fill the former's expectations. Limited resources against unlimited desire and all that.

I still find plenty to do, and enjoy it.

We had 3 savages and 1 ultimates, which is equivalent to 1 week + 5 days prog (I assume TEA is 1 week prog), I will round to 2 week prog

2 week prog in Wow is 2 Mythical raids, they have 3-4 mythical raids (without even considering Heroic raids) per extension

Why such lack of pve content ? for a MMORPG that want to become better/the #1

(I still consider FF14 better than WOW overall, but this lack of pve content is a bit upsetting)

It’s the fact it’s designed that way that’s the problem and it’s what i’m getting at. It completely undermines their whole stance on “we value players time” and “we want you to take a break when you’re not enjoying the content.”
