Interesting Things You Noticed/Learned That make Total Sense.

There are plenty of new and interesting things to discover in the vast world of FFXIV. And while most fall under the topic of lore, there might be a few little facts sprinkled here or there that only the most observant of us might realize. I'm curious about the little things that usually go unnoticed, but when you put them in context, are actually quite brilliant.

And example, that I recently made, thanks to a friend, happened while I was running The Burn. I brought up the music, and questioned why it was a remix of The Praetorium theme, since that seemed like an odd choice. Then my friend casually said, "It's because of Gaius", and suddenly the light bulb turned on. The Burn is where we are reintroduced to Gaius, and the music hints at that, before we even know it.

Another one I noticed while raiding was about Eden Shiva. I wondered why she uses dual swords, then I remembered that Ryne's a Rogue who dual wields daggers.

What other tidbits have you noticed that are actually pretty interesting when you think about them?

I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.

One of these that I've always quite liked is the seemingly arbitrary appearance of Proto Ultima in Dun Scaith.

Ultima Weapon's purpose is to capture Primals, so it showing up midway through a raid full of Voidsent seems kind of random until you look back at Unukalhai's explanation for how many of the high ranking Voidsent originally came to be; the corrupting influence of Primals captured in Auracite on the heroes of the 13th. While not Primals themselves it does actually make sense that Proto Ultima would home in on a large concentration of powerful Voidsent in a single location as a target.

I’ve noticed that upon entering to Heavensward’s storyline I was thrilled & overjoyed since I am an Elezeen & adore my character’s heritage & roots.

I was hyped about finally visiting it & see its majesti castle & breath taking structures & vistas.

What I’ve deeply noticed is how staggering, overly religious, arrogantly proud, over nationalist are the inhabitants of Ishgard & especially how the Holy See’s doctrine is just as disgusting as what happened to Rau-Bahn.

I was quickly disillusioned & basically it retained Uldah’s aspects of greed & rogue-like behaviour upon emphasis with supremacy.

I still enjoy & much appreciate Ishgard’s elegance & its structures,

But will not want to be part it,
