    Bozjan instances closing is terrible design.

    So I got back to the game about a month ago and have earned my relic and almost finished with getting 10-10-10 stacks of Rays (just 100 million more mettle and the nightmare is mostly over). I've noticed a horrible thing SE likes to do and I'm getting really frustrated by it and just have to vent. Why are 50% of all the instance I join prone to closing within 50 minutes? They can reopen. I've seen it, but it doesn't happen enough. I was the first person in a brand new instance and it closed 50 minutes later. What are you thinking!? If I want to spend 3 hours in there, that's my choice and if they want me to leave so bad, they should give me a free replacement essence for my troubles. It's not like Bloodsucker grows on trees. Yes, you can buy them from the market board, but that's not the point. It's a 33% chance to drop from the fragment and having to waste it is annoying when the only place you can earn it from is Castrum during the prisoner section and we all know how well that goes these days.

    Yeah, I was just (like 5 mins ago) in a highly active Zadnor that closed.

    Honestly, I hope they go back to ARR style relic grinds in Endwalker. Not only is the endless routine of clearing the same FATEs and CEs a 100+ times a horrible, miserable way to gatekeep weapons of mildly increased strength, but making the whole experience so abhorrent AND group dependent renders returning to said content (for newer players or people who took an expansion off) downright horrifying (see Eureka in 2021 - that's Bozja's future, right there).

    FFXIV is generally good about not designing content that dies - but these relic-themed regions are one-shot material that isn't even remotely engaging even when it's live (the raids are fine, but the raids don't present the bulk of the grind).

    Sounds like a lot of nit picking gentlemen. Bozja is great fun. Would I grind it to 10x3? Absolutely not.

    ARR style relics were a pain. Even now they are still worse than the current Bozja relics. I got 2 relics from Bozja and I still don't even have one from ARR. BTW, Eureka is still quite active, typically with every map having multiple instances.

    I hope to Halone that we will never get ARR relic style.
    God awful books, they can all burn as well as the nonsensical crafter/materia items.
    Glad I saved so much gil for the ARR relic and also have everything to lv80 including crafter/gatherer.
    I cannot imagine the amount of torture people subjected with pre Atma and so on.

    But hate it with a passion,

    Would’ve not bothered had it not been for the 535 ilevel wise ((not into glamorous lights of relics anyways))

    PS: Before anyone asks about Eden Savage 535, I don’t bother with Edeb Savage either

    I'm at 10/10/10 and have the XII bike and yeah, the instance closing was extremely frustrating. Especially trying to spawn certain CEs...

    People leave en-masse generally after a Dalriada clear, say it was a full 48/48, and then more people leave, it can likely kill the instance. Many are close to timing out, but never watch their clock.

    Someone asked YoshiP the question about instance timers in savage and he put it mildly that it is resources since it takes up instance servers, so it's really an anti-AFK tool, he also wanted it for groups to know when to call it quits.

    And yes, i know they design with NEETs with endless time in mind, after all these kind games are predatory on people with weak mental health, like whales too.

    But i hardly care if anyone got their relics or how long it took them for them to do it: I only care about MY time. And is just too long.
    Which kills the replayability of content - Thus killing it. Specially on a game that by endgame should be encouraging multiclassing and multiroling - To have grinds as if this was a single class per character game hurts it a lot. Speed up the grinds, all of them.

    Content would shine by sheer activity if i could repeat it for more rewards, collecting over 10 of anything with a chance is too much already.

    For the time you devs are expecting a person to get a single relic - they should be getting at least 3. Considering at high end, at any level cap, this was true in ARR and it will be true in expansions to come: End game players should be familiar with all 3 roles.
    All gearing processes should be updated as such, embrace the armory system.



    Also interconectivity between content: Some parts of the Bozjan Relic could have had an alternative of grind INSIDE Eureka for example.
    I really like both, when compared to the Diadem anything is good anyway, but both Eureka and Bozja are steps in the right direction: They can be better by aliviating grinds and interconnecting them, making them if i may: More horizontal.

    In fact are places where XIV actually reminds me of other MMORPGs. Bozja allowing me to customize more character, breaking balance is good time to time. Considering many people doing this doesn't want to raid neither and just do it for collecting or preparing for expansions this is exactly the place where the Devs can relax from all the strict heavily balance and regulated content of the rest of the endgame and allow more emergent gameplay experiences.

    I get better weapons the moment EW releases so I just skip all these bad grind contents like Bozja and Eureka. I lose nothing by doing this except some glow weapons
