50/60/70 leveling weapon sources??

Ok, this does deserve its own topic.

There is a wonderful resource for getting decent enough gear for leveling milestones (where you don’t have to think about minimum item level for the first few dungeons each expansion) in the form of poetics vendors.

…For *almost* every slot.

What I still don’t know after leveling 7-8 jobs past 50 is how one gets weapons on par with poetic purchases within the same realm of access as poetics.

Things I am aware of:
-Gil vendors. If this is the answer, fine, it’s one slot, I’ll consider that handled.
-Deep dungeon weapons. Way too insular a grind that will not feed your other slots enough if you’re using it as your primary weapon source.

Is there a poetic equivalent in regards to access and relevant item level for weapons? I’ll be honest, anything beyond a straight tomestone purchase is still a mystery to me as it relates to walking up to the line of vendors that make up each prior expansion’s endgame, and the tomestone guy doesn’t sell weapons. Is there an accompanying weapon source to the raw tomestone vendor that’s fed by diligently running the MSQ daily or something similar?

Alternatively you can always run normal dungeons but the weapons from them are only relevant for leveling

So, I’m not at home so I can’t look into it at the moment, but are you saying I can visit the non-gear tab on the regular tomestone vendor and get the macguffins that the other vendors around them deal in? Is that the gist of it?

Or just outright go to the NPC in Gridania/Ul'dah/Limsa,Ishgard or Kugane and directly buy the weapons from the poetics vendor there in the same menu that also hold the rest of the gear.

You can buy level 50, 60, and 70 weapons with your poetics in Mor Dhona, Idylshire, and Rhaglr's Reach respectively.

Weapons are sold for poetics, but they come from a different vendor, usually the one standing next to the armour vendor.

Previously you had the poetics vendor who sold armour and tokens and the token trader who deals with weapons and miscellany, so you had to buy the right tokens from the poetics vendor and trade them to the token trader to collect your weapon, and then on top of that you need to trade your raid coins for upgrade materials and take them to a third person to get upgraded.

They've cut through the bother for old expansions and just sell the upgraded weapons directly now, but the weapons remain on the token trader and haven't been moved to the poetics vendor.

This system was removed in about 5.3. Only current endgame requires the runabout with tokens now.

lvl 50 (ilvl 130) weapons are from Aelina in Mor Dhona (Ironworks Gear category)
lvl 60 (ilvl 270) weapons are from Bertana in Idyllshire (Shire Gear Exchange category)
lvl 70 (ilvl 400) weapons are from Eschina in Rhalgr's Reach (Scaevan Gear Exchange category)

Current pricing shows it's 600 poetics per weapon from any of the npcs.
