I'm a bit curious, this was posted in the patch notes.

Individual Contributions
Players of all four disciplines can contribute to a hamlet militia’s supply caches, with rewards given based on the type of contribution.

Disciples of War and Magic
Completing level 45 caravan escort duty will benefit the corresponding hamlet’s supply rating.

Does that mean that since only hyrstmill is currently implemented, that only people who chose Twin Adders as their GC can participate in the caravan escort during the non-combat phase? Or is it a caravan escort separate from the GCs

Just talked to the npc and he says they travel to Hyrstmill sooo no Storm recruits allowed lol.

If someone could record and post a video of the Hamlet fight that would be awesome. My cpu is crapped so I can't log in and join one myself.

I'll be getting home about the time the hamlet battles start up, and I set home point to the nearest aethyrite camp.

I'll try to get into a group and record, but I'm not in an active linkshell (at least not active with level 45+) so unless another LS invites me to come along, finding an 8 man party might be trouble.
Regardless, if I'm successful I'll post a video here.

Hopefully when all 3 hamlets are available they will all rotate "active battle" status. The bonuses you get for turning in items could make it still valuable to participate in the non-battle phase. Anima bonuses are great too =P

Keep in mind that even if you don't have a crafting or gathering class, you can turn in any gear with materia on it, or just buy the turn-in items if they are on sale. Junk gear you get from stronghold chests attached with materia you don't need are ideal. Don't forget that you can have people attach materia while you are afk through the bazaar now.
