Yo/ my dear fellows!
Some of us may have found ourselves in this particular situation:
You enter the Duty and meet a new comrade that has some issue with a game that need to be solved for everybody enjoyment. Maybe your new friend has broken/dramatically_outleveled/no gear, maybe he don't know how to use his skills/spells properly, or maybe he don't understanding bossu mechanics, etc. So, as any fellow mentor do, you'll try to point on this little mistakes, try explain them and fix it. To be instantly kicked out for toxic behavior. Oh, such a labor!
So now I ended up in hostage situation:
- I can't reason with other in fear for being kicked from half backed duty;
- I don't wanna stay in company of toxic players that don't want improve to at least average level;
- I can't leave this sinking ship of a company cuz then I'll get penalty for abandoning it and have to wait to participate in new duty for my enjoyment and fun (and many players don't mind about leaving at all because they not very interested in Duty business at 1st place).
Dear SE devs, our punishment system looks like personal torture for involved in game players like me.
I suggest:
- remove 'vote kick' because self-moderation is not working
- remove penalties for leaving Duty on the move
- let community self-regulate itself
You may ask, but how will we kick players for:
Q: AFK?
A: They kicked out automatically by the system
Q: Lack of skills?
A: We should not.
Q: Lack of essential stuff (like low gear level so we can't pass DPS check in unreal)?
A: We should disband and meet again properly stuffed.
Q: Chat abuse?
A: Blacklist player/leave duty if you don't want to play with player/report it to SE authorities.
Additionally you may address:
Q: What will players do if somebody left the Duty, because they will never be able to complete it outnumbered?
A: Any player have ability to 'join duty in progress' so it'll be filled up again in a minutes.
