I'm not even sure why they sped it up in the first place. I don't craft much, but I never was concerned with how long it took to synth something. But now I really don't think I care to start a synth anymore. I've only seen a few so far but it's absolutely ridiculous. They might as well take that entire feature out, have you sit there and the results of your actions are immediately shown. I know 2.0 is coming around the corner still yet these fixes are just awful. I remember when they first sped them up, it seemed unnatural until they went back over it to make it appear more fluid. It still looked a little odd, but worked. I'm hoping they follow that same approach again, but with how faster everything reacts now I can't see it looking any better.

Well for one... crafting is a huge time sink. And two.. imagine lv. 75 cap. Sure it'll be fun leveling to lv. 75 on a DoW/DoM but for DoH and DoL? ha... it's going to be dreadful if they don't find exp bonuses.. even speeding up the animation over time is better.

I certainly hope so. This is horrible lol.

Personally I'd actually rather have the slower crafting pace back if it means actually looking decent, but that's unnecessary as you can fix crafting speed without ruining the animations.

With an entire graphics engine overhaul in 2.0 planned I think you can rest assured things like this will be fixed

Crafting is being pretty much revamped so I would assume the answer is yes.

I'm sure they considered just shortening the animations like you pointed out, but maybe they ran into some trouble with that. It does look a bit ridicolous I agree, especially Rapid Synths which were already really fast.

Multiple entries in the Miracle 2.0 Patch before we even hit the second page. The more I read on these forums the more I'm certain that a massive portion of the playerbase is going to be extremely disappointed when they get their hands on 2.0 and it's not the miracle cure to all of the game's issues that they expect. I'm paying for and playing the game now, not killing time until 2.0 is released.

With that out of the way, I'm in agreement with the OP - simply speeding up the animations was not the best way to do it. It now looks silly, bordering on absurd in some cases.
