Company seal items

Should we be able to purchase items from other Grand Companies but for higher seal costs?

With the new patch adding quests that talk about the uniting of Grand Companies it seems perfectly viable that companies would start offering items to adventurers from other companies albeit at a higher price. Just as random numbers, if a belt costs around 5k seals from one company, if you're in another company you could still buy the belt but it would cost 7.5k seals.

I feel there is a decent enough 'lore' reason for this to take place and ultimately Yoshi said we should pick our Grand Company based on the company we like not the equipment, if we weren't 'locked out' of certain equipment by joining a Grand Company then I think people wouldn't factor in the equipment each company offers at all.

the items will rotate as to which are better from which company, so no, we shouldnt be able to buy them from other companys

No. For the same reason the American military will never use AK47s. Uldahn forces should use Uldahn arms.

Yes, for this reason. Say if a specific company gets an awesome item for a particular job, and you weren't from that company, wouldn't you rather take the time to farm those extra seals as opposed to going to the forums to QQ about it not being available to you? Granted, I know some would still pick the latter because that's just what they do...

Fair enough, but I still think they should stay as they are in favor of GC uniqueness.

Correction, Harriar is a British design purchased by the U.S. Marine Corp. for the vertical take off was well suited for launch off LPD, and similar ships, which transported marines and could support helicopters before.

It won't happen til the forces actually unify, right now they are all pretty much going at the beat of their own drum though with the introduction of hamlet they are starting to put their forces together. So perhaps by the next big VU they will unite under one flag and you'll be able to purchase from any company for that limited amount of time, or they'll be unique items offered under that one flag that will only be available til 2.0 is released.

No not really. I like how can differ people storm people from their awesome lookign red bliaud, or adders from their commonly used shield. Idk flames, they seems lame.

I think what is more likely to happen is that once the GCs unify there will be universal rewards, which will be created via a collective effort on the companies behalf lore-wise, and members of each GC will be able to purchase them with their own seals. By the time this happens, the current GC items will be out-dated and so making them cross-GC wont have very much importance.
