Connection issues ERROR 2002 and 90002

Hello,

I'm posting to ask for some assistance on some connection issues I'm having currently.

Until about three days ago I was able to log in and play FF14 just fine.

Three days ago I began receiving the 2002 error when attempting to connect. Occasionally I would be able to log in to my character however I am dropped within a minute with the 90002 error.

Since three days ago I have not been able to play at all due to these errors.

I am currently living in Ibaraki in Japan.

I attempted a few fixes.

First: I checked my firewall to make sure it wasn't being blocked however FF14 was allowed through my firewall.

Secondly I reset my router, by unplugging it and leaving it unplugged for about a minute, however this appears to have made no difference.

Thirdly I used the IPCONFIG /FLUSHDNS, then IPCONFIG /RELEASE and finally IPCONFIG/RENEW this too made no difference.

Fourthly I followed all the suggestions in this thread: https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/...9-90006-%21%21 Including the internet explorer network settings, again however, none of this has helped.

Lastly, I attempted a full reinstall of the game. Unfortunately this too has made no difference.

I did notice one more odd thing. While I was in the game window of FF14 talking to a friend over DISCORD, his voice became exceptionally robotic. This issue disappeared when I ALT Tabbed to desktop and reappeared when I re-entered the game window.

Any other ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I just purchased gametime a couple of days before this issue occurred.

Yeah, I'll be honest, it's getting so aggravating to the point I can barely find the patience to play now. I'm based in the UK and I get kicked every hour at least with the 90002 error and I KNOW FOR CERTAIN that the issue is not on my end and that this issue is happening to players all over the world. Every time I am kicked out, I have to rejoin the que and sometimes it's like 200+ in the que for me whilst I'm kicked out while tanking a raid, so this is not good.

I've noticed tech support messing around with regards to addressing responsibility for the issue. Has any community members figured this out?

I also play in the EU servers and I was playing fine up until a couple days ago when i've been suddenly getting constant 90002 error messages, even at 3am, and I can barely play anymore. I've noticed I can stay in the overworld longer (30 minutes if i'm lucky) but the moment i try to do pvp/dungeons etc I get disconnected within 2-5 minutes. I can't even run trust dungeons and that's just me and some npc's.

I've seen a lot of players on the EU servers with this issue, specifically those on the Light data centre, which is also the one i play in. A lot of people seem to think they messed something up after the maintenance back in July. It might just be that all the servers are overwhelmed but we can only speculate.

I honestly think we'll just have to be patient while they work on expanding all the servers but it sure doesn't make it any less annoying for us.

EU player. 2 weeks playing and 1st week = no dieconnects.2nd week disconnect about every hour.

The solution : If you have Avast, turn off Avast for your game session. Right click Avast for the options.

Since I did this 0 disconnects sof ar after 1 day of play.(Fingers X)

Why disconnect on 2nd week and not 1st? Answer: Avast got an update and then the disconnects happened.

Maybe this is why its so random for people or even 2 people in teh same househld using the same wifi. One disconnects and the other doesnt. maybe they are on different anti virus software or one is updated and the other isnt.

I've been playing for about two months now, nearly everyday, and I haven't had any issues until yesterday (August 9th, 2021). I disconnected with 90002 three times on the 9th, and I've disconnected twice now, on the 10th. It is so disruptive and out of nowhere. I am losing my mind due to this. Please, someone find a fix for this!! I am playing on the NA servers, by the way.

Started having same issue errors 2002, 90002, 90006 since today 6:00 PM GMT-3.

I'm from Argentina. The error only happens when connecting to Primal. I can connect to Aether and Chaos where I have alts with no issues. Fix this and the dxerror problems that plague this game, no online game I've ever played had as many issues as this game and they were free to play.

I'm having the same issue. Tried many suggestions to fix these problems and had no success.
It also seems to be a problem exclusive to FFXIV on my end, with everything else working perfectly.

Reporting from Balmung. Yesterday around 3 PM i started having lag issues which has never occoured before. I didn't paid it mind as i was doing crafting work, but around 9 PM i started to get disconnected with error 90002 and 90006. As soon i relog, i have like 2-3 minutes of time before it start lagging severly once more and disconnect. Restarted Router, restarted pc, did all the "fixes" but still happening.
