Because they are intimidated by the words "24 Man Raid", not realizing just how easy and forgiving (for the most part) the 24 mans really are.
They haven't stated it outright, but the expansion's logo seems to very very strongly hint we take an Allagan starship there, FFIV style, Amano's logo art depicting a very wedge shaped vessel approaching the Moon, and the trailer even makes it move as if it's approaching it (it's already in the lore that the Allagan Ragnarok-class Internment Hulks shown in the Binding Coils are spaceships, so that's as good a choice as any for this mysterious vessel.).
We'll find out soon enough anyway.
Coils makes sense, considering what we saw in 5.5 with the Meracydian dragons, and also anything related to the Twins and Louisiox. It's obviously something that's coming full circle. The Ragnarok class ships is a good call too.
Omega will obviously be touched upon, but how much and how in depth is the question. There appears to be a new form of Omega that, if judging from past Benchmarks, will turn out to be a world FATE boss. So it's going to be linked to the overall lore of Endwalker in some way, but not tied to the core plot because it's not mandatory.
Alexander has me stumped though. I'm trying to think if there's any parts of Alex that aren't intrinsically linked to time travel in some way, but are more about Sharlayan in general.
When the same question for recommendations was asked at Fan Fest, Ishikawa only listed Coil and Omega. I'm wondering if Alexander is specifically relevant to Endwalker or if Yoshida is just taking the opportunity to recommend it as a raid that ties into the MSQ and key lore details at some point, not necessarily a future plot point.
...okay but the game's canon is that you are the WoL, and it's okay to have headcanon for your "non-WoL" character. So yes, we are all the WoL in out story and not in everyone else's. Feels like a silly reason you have to not wanna do contentMy character isn't the warrior of light. She's just a dragoon... a dragoon who doesn't possess the echo. This is one of those places where the story and MMORPG pieces of the game simply cannot coexist - we can't all be the WOL; not when acknowledging the thousands of other players sharing this world with us. I therefore happily surrender any claim to the mantle of 'hero' - his/her journey is not my own.
No one will yell at you? Pretty sure if you are new no one's gonna stress out.

If it is deeply involved in the story at some point it could be something about needing to reactivate it to draw corrupted aether from the land but I think if it became that relevant we'd have to clear Alexander before progressing MSQ. IDK if they'd do that but they already have a mandatory Alliance Raid and a nearly mandatory Alliance Raid (if you want Bozja) and you need to do Warring Triad for some later quests. So who knows?
Personally, my main takeaway from Alexander and Sorrow of Werlyt is that I, as a lizard, need to be very careful around any giant robots. Never know when I might fuse into them.

It's not a time bubble. It's more like skipping around in a book. If you open a book and read chapter 1, then skip to chapter 5, and then go back to chapter 4, it doesn't mean that chapter 4 happened last, or that chapter 3 doesn't exist. The story still happens in a set order even if you don't read the book that way. Estinien doesn't forget about you if you do the DRG quests after HW. You're just going back to an earlier chapter where you hadn't met yet.
That's mostly a good analogy, except that Chapter 3 might not exist if you skip over it. The characters will only reference it in Chapter 6 if you read it, and the author will make you read it before you can proceed to Chapter 8...It's not a time bubble. But yes, if you read Chapter 5 before 4, there's no reason to expect that the later events will be referenced by the earlier ones.
Going back and playing old side content is essentially stepping back in time and making those events happen at the point where they were always intended to happen. You might find that some later memories in the Unending Journey have changed to reflect this new reality you've created, if you rewatch scenes where characters reference that side event if you had done it.
