    Dancer as Dance Partner

This is an old question. Alas, all my searches lead to old answers.

As a new Dancer, I am under the impression that if I get another Dancer in, say, a Dungeon, then it is still better to place the other Dancer as my partner over, say, a Healer or Tank...

Alas, I entered a dungeon on my road to 71 with another Dancer who buffed the healer. When I asked why they did this, they simply claimed that the buff doesn't stack. All my searches for answers lead to some variation of "it's still better to buff a fellow Dancer".
Can we get some solid 2021 info on this?

(Not talking about raids or premades where you have a good idea of who has the biggest damage, thus want to give them your damage increase specifically).

Well best thing would probably be to have one partner the fellow dnc and one partner the tank or healer but I don't fully remember if it allows 2 standards on a ally. I usually just partner the one the other dancer didn't partner with

Devilment and Technical Step do not stack, but rather overwrite any existing Devilment or Technical Step buffs. However, Standard Step will stack, as the +5% damage buff applied to yourself and the +5% damage buff applied to the other player are not the same buff.

Note that this only applies in cases with two Dancers. If there are three or more Dancers in the party and two of them choose the same partner, one of them will have their "give the other player +5% damage" buff overwritten.

Yes, I am asking specifically about two Dancers, such as Dungeons. If they can still provide each other the 5% increase then I don't see any reason to buff a Tank or Healer (outside of meter-checkers who notice a tank/healer doing more overall damage than the Dancer).

This. Any damage percentage increase should go to the other Dancer because it will be more beneficial numbers wise I believe.
