Likely starting level for EW jobs?

So, I was kinda debating this with myself last night assuming that the new jobs will start at 70 based on gunbreaker and dancer’s precedent, but that’s literally all that assumption was based on and to be honest starting at 70 potentially means that the new jobs essentially start their job questing experience with the ShB role quests… and that feels wrong.

What’s the consensus on this? Has there been an announcement? What does precedent tell us and will precedent be affected by the “role quest” direction of Shadowbringers? Do they skip the role quests and start at 70 anyway? They are “old content” as of EW, after all!

They have confirmed 70

They'll start at lvl 70, it was confirmed during the reveal.

Reaper will start at lv70...we'll also have a increase of level cap from 80 to 90.
I understand why you feel like it's wrong, but i think we can only wait and see their approach to establish our learning curve and lore.
From 70 to 90 seems like a short time.

It follows the pattern set by precedent, and there is no quests. reason for the role quests to disrupt precedent any more than job quests did.

In Stormblood the level cap went from 60 up to 70. When they added RDM and SAM in Stormblood they started at 50, 10 levels behind where the last expac's level cap was.

In Shadow Bringers the level cap went from 70 up to 80.
The new jobs DNC and GNB started at 60, which is 10 levels behind the last expacs level cap.

Not for Endwalker the pattern continues and the new jobs will start at 70.

They start at 70 but I wouldn't rule out them getting job quests to expand upon their lore even if they're starting in SHB level wise.

They have confirmed that, like with DNC and GNB, they will have 10 levels worth of job quests in 70-80.

That's what I figured they'd get, but didn't catch any specific confirmation of it. I'm okay with them not doing new stories for old jobs every expansion at this point, but hope they continue to give at least this much to NEW jobs when they arrive.
