    Eureka Elemental Armor+2 Question

    Hello all,

I currently have a desire to work towards obtaining the Eureka Elemental Armor +2 set (with the glow) for glam but I'm unsure how to go about obtaining it. I have no real desire to obtain the relic weapon. I've never done Eureka before so I went ahead and did the quest to go in and complete it and did some research on the process to obtain the armor but some of the information I found is conflicting (possibly due to the age of the advice and possible changes to the process over 2 years).

I suppose my main questions are:

Am I required to complete the full relic weapon process to obtain the armor..? (somebody mentioned something about needing to do it to be able to talk to the armor NPC)

    and

Is there up-to-date guides that anybody recommends for the relic weapon completion and Eureka in general?

Far as I understand, if you just want the glow, you only need to get the +1 version of the armor. And you'll need to complete up to at least the Pyros Weapon in order to unlock the vendor for the Elemental Armor upgrades. So, at minimum, you'll need to complete the Eureka relic weapon progression of Anemos, Pagos and Pyros - though they're much easier than they seem to be from the onset thanks to the fact you can purchase some end-game materials from the skywatchers in the event you aren't able to spawn the FATEs or be present when they are.

In order to first obtain the Elemental Armor, you'll need to make it to Pyros, have your Pagos weapon and unlock 50 logogram actions (there's recipes online to help make this process easier). You can definitely farm the logograms yourself in order to prevent spending a lot of gil on this part but it will save you an immense amount of time if you buy the logograms off the marketboard.

Gerolt won't make any shops available to you without your Pagos weapon and even if you have that, the eureka armor shop won't be available until you obtain 50 logogram actions. Buying the elemental armor merely costs Pyros crystals - of which you'll be farming plenty.

Once you have the elemental armor set you want, you'll need to make it to Hydatos and have your Pyros weapon for the same reasons you needed your pagos weapon in pyros. Do that and obtain 5 more logogram actions (of which if you want to do this without reaching max level and potentially farming baldesion arsenal I highly recommend the marketboard here) in order to unlock the upgrade shop for elemental armor. Upgrading elemental armor to +1 merely requires the elemental armor and some Hydatos Crystals and it will give it the glow you want.

+2 elemental armor isn't where it gets its glow but instead where it gets its elemental bonus rating.

Edit: Now that I see you're on Siren, I generally drag my FC through Eureka from time to time and have managed to get most of them to Pyros at least. If you'd like some help going through Eureka I'm more than willing to revisit the older maps to assist you. I'm on Faerie and am able to party up with you for Eureka.

You need to have your weapon completed all the way to the end of the Pyros step. After that, you can buy the elemental +1 set. And I don't believe you need to finish the weapon to upgrade it to +2. Just finish the Eureka storyline then run Baldesion Arsenal til you get enough fragments to reach +2Note that the +1 version glows, you only need the +2 if you plan to farm BA a lot.

And yeah, for the +1 you do NOT need to fully finish the relic. But you do need to do most of it and all of the Logos actions. And probably the hardest part (aside from grinding Pagos which nobody likes) is getting all of the Logos actions. There's like 54 actions I believe that you have to get from combining Logograms. I highly recommend having a tracker such as https://ffxiv-eureka.com/logograms up at all times when getting your actions to help you keep track of what you have and what you need. Also, if you have gil to burn and don't want to farm them, you can buy the logograms off the marketboard.
