Should I stay Miqo’te

I’m very new to the game. I’ve played several races and came down to midlander or miqo’te. I can’t decide which I like more. Any thoughts from the veterans?

From a gameplay standpoint, there are VERY MINOR racial differences in terms of stats. It comes down to personal preference in how you want your idle animations, your general appearance, and voice/emotes to look. It’s entirely subjective.

That being said, I myself play a Miqo’te, have been a miqo since 2.0 beta. I’ve fantasiad to a number of other races including Highlander, roe, au ra and viera (all female) and I keep coming back to my miqo because that’s just how I see my character now and cutscenes feel off otherwise. Also, should you decide to change, you can make an alt to play around with and should you decide to you can Fantasia to change.

Well. I have several alts. I like the Miqo’te run a lot better than any other. My only hang up is that there is an ocean of Miqo’tes lol. Also I want to try Viera but the lack of hairstyle is keeping me back. The highlander looks angry all the time. I can’t deal with elezen necks. IMO the Midlander and the Miqo’te are the best

Lalafells are the best. Be a lalafell.

Really though, it doesn't matter. There's no gameplay difference so race is entirely a matter of aesthetic. Just play whatever makes you happy.

Sorry. I just can’t be a lalafell. I can’t take them seriously. Lol. I like the way the armor fits on the highlander better than the rest. She is my highest character. May I will just stick with her. Hmmm

Midlander are rare in comparision with Miqo'te.

All races are fine. I ve started as Miqo'te, because I wanted a race with a greyish skin tone (Keeper of the moon ftw). But with the addition of Au Ra, I was totally in love with the dragon girls : D

I’ve made a dragon girl but never played her. I like being a race and class that most are not. And before anyone suggests roe I cannot make one that doesn’t look like a man. I wish I could make one that looked like the Admiral in Limsa


Edit: I think I’ll stick with my highlander. She is the highest and I love the glamors that I have seen on that type of character
