    Unable to Complete Version Check

    I am in the NA region, and I launch FFXIV through steam. I have not been able to access FFXIV all day. Everytime I launch the launcher it fails and diplays a window which says:

    "unable to complete version check [30604] [20444] [19900] [2]"

    I haven't been able to find anyone who's reported this specific error code. Other's have reported similar issues with the launcher and I have tried some of their fixes, such as editing the cfg file, but it hasn't fixed the issue. I've tried reinstalling but the launcher still fails to launch. I'm not sure what I can do about this issue...

    We apologize for any inconvenience experienced when trying to play Final Fantasy XIV.

    Have you attempted to delete the patch folder from the device?
    (My Documents > My Games > FINAL FANTASY XIV > Downloads > Delete patch folder)

    If you are still experiencing an issue, please be sure to follow these troubleshooting steps below:

    - Make sure Internet Explorer/Microsoft Edge is up to date.
    - Disable all programs/overlays running in the background. (Found in Task Manager)
    - Make sure your anti-virus software has the appropriate exceptions for Final Fantasy XIV.
