Script Error: Invalid Character

I keep getting this pop up when i try to load the Windows launcher for the game but nothing I'm trying is getting it to go away. I made sure i have updated drivers and i checked my internet browser settings. I read in similar forums that this is an Internet Explorer settings issue but I don't have that browser so I'm not sure what I should be doing.

Even after clicking either yes or no the error pops up until continuously clicked on, then the FFXIV logo just stays on the screen with nothing else there.

As the Windows launcher uses the same settings as Internet Explorer, you would need to clear the cookies and cache on it or change its settings. Additionally, have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game?
