[DEV REQUEST] Let 1.0 legacy items/tattoo/bonuses be account wide.

EDIT: This post also offers the suggestion to merge the 1.0 character and anything it has into a chosen 2.0 character, so no extra characters can have the 1.0 tattoo or any other items.

Hello, some may remember me from a few days ago when I posted in the tattoo thread, where I mentioned I'll be making a post to draw attention to this for those affected.

First off, please let me explain my personal situation. I play MMORPG's with my partner - we played XI together and currently play XIV.

We played the alpha and beta of Final Fantasy XIV 1.0 and we both purchased the original game at release (I got the collector's edition). However, my partner's computer wasn't able to run the game and because a PS3 version of 1.0 was intended to be released, we decided to quit until that was released and went back to FFXI. This was before SE began to bill for 1.0, so we never paid any subscription fees. This was only because I only wanted to play the game with my bf and we were waiting for the PS3 release of 1.0 that never came.

Fast forward to 2.3, we picked up a trial of FFXIV:ARR each and got into it, this time my partner's computer could run it. When we arranged billing on the Mogstation, we saw no characters from 1.0 listed and given we'd heard that Dalamud had killed a lot of characters off, we assumed that only Warriors of Light (those who had completed the 1.x storyline) had survived and that our characters were dead. Because our 1.0 characters weren't listed in the Mogstation, we made new characters and were none the wiser. I also never received an email from SE (they often send emails enticing people back to XI and XIV, so I don't see why they didn't send us one for 2.0)

It was only the other day in the tattoo thread, where I saw it mentioned that *all* 1.0 characters got tattoos and got curious. I checked what my old 1.0 server was called (Selbina) and found it was now Ridill, on the Gaia data centre (JP). Sure enough, my two 1.0 characters (and my partner's when he checked) were there, still alive. I logged them in and changed the appearance of one to match my current main character and seeing the Hermes shoes and outdated items that gave me nostalgia for a game I missed out on made me quite emotional due to remembering friends and areas in 1.0. I could have used this character, had SE listed them in Mogstation when I set up billing for our 2.0 accounts.

With my situation explained, I would now like to outline my request. Please allow any 1.0 rewards attained by a character on a service account to be attainable by *all* characters on that service account. If for some reason people think that's too much, how about letting us absorb a 1.0 character into an existing 2.0 character, giving them everything they had and deleting them in the progress. That way, you're not getting extra characters.

I don't want to give up everything I've done in the two years since making my 2.0 character, mainly my house and wedding ring (the date is the first day marriages were available and I want to keep that), to get a tattoo that I should have in the first place, had SE notified me in any way that my characters weren't dead.

I would like to add that I am *not* in any way, asking for things I haven't already earned by playing 1.0. I'm not after a Laurel Goobbue mount, or a Legacy Chocobo, I just want what my character should've had if SE had given any hint at all that my 1.0 character survived. .

tl;dr: Bf and I are former 1.0 players, came back in 2.3 and made new characters because we were led to believe our old characters are dead and we really want the legacy tattoo our 1.0 characters earned on our 2.0 characters, because we don't think it's our fault the 1.0 characters weren't listed.
